Type GULb-S Cement combines Portland limestone cement with slag, achieving a carbon reduction comparable to what slag replacement alone delivers at the same replacement level, in a single blended cement. The result is a general-use cement with reduced carbon intensity relative to Portland cement.
Limestone lowers clinker content directly. Slag replaces more of it while enhancing strength and durability of its own over time. Together they produce a cement that asks less of the kiln and gives more to the concrete, especially in resistance to sulfates and chlorides and in strength that keeps developing at later ages.
