Type N Mortar Cement: Bond You Can Build On

Type N Mortar Cement is manufactured to meet the flexural bond strength required by some specifications without having to use Portland-Lime cement mortars. It pairs proportioned convenience with the bond performance engineers look for in code-governed masonry. This cement meets ASTM C1329 specifications.

Engineered for Bond

Mortar cement occupies its own place in the standards for a reason. Lower limits on air content result in higher flexural bond strength. The finished joint grips the unit harder, which matters when a wall has to resist out-of-plane forces. For the mason, it still mixes and lays like a familiar mortar.
